    • The harddisk and monitor are icons from various icon collections, I know a lot of people are using Inkscape to create those.

      www.inkscape.org/

Its a free open source program btw. Commercial applications for such a task could be illustrator, freehand or similar.

The red bar under the harddisk is probably made by Andy in FireWorks I presume.

I think that is a no go, he is pretty much committed to Fireworks...

    • Never! Once you have started using fireworks you will never go back to photoshop for web development. Trust me as I was a diehard photoshop fanatic until i found fireworks. I'de consider moving to inkscape but it's really too crude for web stuff. Actually Xara looks like a viable option but it's not currently available for mac.

    • What are the top 5 reasons to use Fireworks over Photoshop?
I personally like Fireworks as it is easier to do things in but I have both for "just in case".

I need to talk a friend into using Fireworks over Photoslop...

    • Someone needs to talk me into Fireworks also... :'( After investing many many hours learning Photoshop, I am a bit lazy when it comes to learning a new program. Maybe time is an issue....I don't have much free time lately.
