    • I just re-read your post....

in the Joomla global configuration the ftp in the server tab is set to
      host: 127.0.0.1 <- Correct
      ftp port: 21 <- Correct
ftp username: admin username for joomla <- Wrong
ftp password: pw for joomla <- Wrong
      ftp root: blank <- Wrong

Check with your host what the FTP login and the root path should be :)

    • This can't be that difficult. I've tried changing the permissions in my ftp client I've corrected the settings to:

      host: 127.0.0.1 <- Correct
      ftp port: 21 <- Correct
      ftp username: host user name
      ftp password: host pw
      ftp root: /htdocs/

I've had an open ticket with this company and their last response was to resolve it by say that it's a 3rd party extension that's causing the problem. Which I don't believe is the problem. I have 3 other clients that have their sites on this same host with the same issues. I have 4 clients on another hosting company and their ftp works just fine in Joomla and I have 3rd party extensions plugged in on their sites.

    • This thread is resolved through the help of Powweb. The corrected the ftp issues.

Thanks for all your help, and the education.
