Re: D ( General / General Discussion )

David Goode's Avatar

Hi Vadique, When you say template time do you mean the local time at which the template is viewed? Server time is set by the server operator and for many people their server may be in a different timezone to them. So the difference in time will be due to either incorrect time on server or different time zones. This is why there is the option to select 'client side time' as this will display the date and time from the visitor's pc. That way they see the correct date and time for their time zone IF their pc is set correctly. Hope this helps

Our site uses JEvents with a RokMiniEvents module on the home page (Upcoming Events). The first event (Give to the Max Day) shows 11 November, yet if you click through to the calendar the JEvents date is 12 November. This is the case for all events and doesn't seem related to time zones. I've tried all options for Show Local Times and Forced Timezone. http://tricountyhumanesociety.org Note that the RME module is hidden at small screen sizes. ---------------- UPDATE: I'm in the wrong forum, and this is a (very old) known issue. Forcing London time zone seems to have helped.

And...yet still waiting for a response from the support staff... I have files that I need to download, not sure why they haven't responded. Joined: Fri Jan 23, 2009 12:03 pm It may depend on the time zone vs the server. You should contact support. http://www.rockettheme.com/contact-us

Hi Dan, Thank you for the detailed explanation but i think you missed something in my first post. I am not using google calendar at all. I am creating my events within Joomla using Jevents and then displaying the events with RokMiniEvents3. Assumptions - bad things. I've always used existing Google Calendars when importing into JEvents. In your case the best answer I can Google is this from JEvents FAQ page: I changed the timezone and the time is still wrong! If you are sure you have set the timezone and Summer Time/DST correctly and the time is still incorrect, then the time stored on the server clock is incorrect. Please notify an administrator to correct the problem.

Hi, The issue still exists. I'm using RokMiniEvents3 version 3.0.3 against Joomla 3.6.5 After changing the module displaying 4 or more events and activating the navigation timeline and arrows, I was shocked when all of a sudden the visitors complained about getting a 404 error, trying to get the event details from the second panel and beyond. It took me a while, searching for similar issues until I found this post. RocketTheme crew could you please act on this issue and get us a fix for this extension?! That would be largly appreciated! ;-) Cheers, Patrick

Just so we're not gambling we went ahead and hacked /modules/mod_rokminievents3/tmpl/default_item.php inserting a str_replace to replace the offending URL portion with nothing around the middle of the code.

ok, So I changed error level reporting to maximum in global config (you had it set to none)and now we get and error message: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare google_api_php_client_autoload() (previously declared in /home/gretelco/public_html/modules/mod_rokminievents3/lib/RokMiniEvents3/Source/google/api-php-client/autoload.php:18) in /home/gretelco/public_html/modules/mod_rokminievents3/lib/RokMiniEvents3/Source/google/api-php-client/autoload.php on line 31 So, that's look like it might be a bug to me... not being able to have more than one rokminievents module on same page... I will investigate further... Regards, Mark.
