I've never worked with a javascript library so i I dont know exactly what I'm talking about, however its something I want to dive into. I tried searching for this and got unclear answers.
From my understanding, RT templates use the Mootools javascript library. Can you also use Jquery or do I need to only use Mootools if I intend on doing something fancy with Javascript? Or, can you turn off mootools and use jquery without destroying a templates functionality?
Hey Vachatterus I think you confused my thread with yours, but it seems like you're trying to find out the same thing I am so let me know if you get a definitive answer.
All of the proprietary RocketTheme features (modules, menus, components) that use more than basic javascript require mootools to be enabled. If you don't plan to use any of these features you can disable mootools on your site and the template will still work. You just won't have access to some of the fancy bells and whistles.
So I'm still not entirely clear... if I Do plan on using the bells and whistles of the RT templates, should I steer clear of jquery entirely, or can it be safely run in noConflict mode alongside mootools? I honestly don't even have any sort of plans for using jquery at present, but I would just like to know for sure so I dont waste any time on it at some point in the future.
Please be kind no PM without asking,Pm without asking will result in fow list

Thanks "B"...man I feel like I'm in the 80's with the name!
I came across it trying to get the wibiya toolbar to work on J! and RT templates. But it uses 3 or 4 instances of JQuery and causes massive conflicts that I couldn't rewrite since they are on a cdn.
This plug has solved those issues....Now if I could only get the script to not run in SSL mode!
From what I've read it's crucial that if you're gonna run JQuery in no conflict mode that it gets loaded first (Before mootools) so it can apply the the substitute for "$". If it loads after mootools, it's basically useless (From what I've read).
