I've decided that I'm going to try and make the most of some of the older templates, whilst the quality of the templates improves dramatically each month so does my ability to change them and adapt.
In the past I used to trade by simply changing the logo.png and maybe playing with some colours- but as I get more used to it a world of opportunity opens up for the older templates.
I've gone retro rockettheme.

Yes, there are some older templates that I want to do more with, such as the suckerfish menu and different widths.
Do you have any tips to share on modifying these older templates? Maybe we can post our hacks (if I can get mine to work!).

Interesting, I was thinking the same thing. For example I just added the "header" code from Trooper into the Carnination theme meaning I know have the option to have different images on different pages inside carbination/carbonite.
I also want to put the suckerfish menu into the fire template.
Shame I have to work, I could spend all day doing this instead
