Re: Radio Button Background

    • Hello World -

I am trying to change the radio button background color for the poll choices.

      Example:
On this site the poll choices radio buttons have the background color/style I want which is the DIV background color:
      www.playstationgamer.net

Here is the problem site where the poll choices radio buttons have a off-color square around them:
      www.socomonline.net

Any suggestions where in the CSS this can be corrected?

      Thank you!
      John

    • That's an IE issue and requires more than a CSS file to sort out.
Not sure if it's present in IE7 though.
In my opinion you should just add a small image under the boxes saying something like:

"If you got some ugly colours around these boxes you're using a crap browser, get Firefox it's better, it's free!"

    • Thomas and John,

I see it in FF also. Could it be the way that the button is coded?

    • Hehe I actually didn't go to the links...

FireFox can handle CSS'esd radio buttons - IE doesn't.
So perhaps no CSS is attached to the buttons?

On my site the template I am currently using (not rt - sorry andy) does have css attached to the radio buttons only ie wont show it, and i did search about the topic and it seems the two browsers behave rather differently.

With FF I used the WebDev add-on and though I could find a couple of 'input.button' CSS references that were each made of several lines of code. But for the 'socomonline' site, there was only one reference to 'input.button', but it was only a couple of lines. My assessmnt is that there is very little CSS atached to the 'socomonline' site.

    • Well, I have to say this has me stumped. I know it must be possible to make the radio button have a black background since the www.playstationgamer.net site's radio buttons have black backgrounds. The PlayStation site is using the Techzine template and the SOCOM site is using the Extremeties template.

I just tried taking the input.button CSS code from the Techzine template and adding it in the Extremeties CSS but there were no visible changes.

      Anybody else have a suggestion?

      Thanks!
