IE is a crap

Once i prepared my joomla site using Safari and Firefox, i had the tipical fear: what will IE Windows render:
CRAP.
The site is totally unusable. The borders disappear, the logo is in another position, the buttons are out of position.
WHY? Why 90% of the population must surf with a crap application?
Now the question:
How can i resolve that?
