some module class suffix help and small questions integrating virtuemart

i'm not sure if this is in the right board...
i'm attempting to use virtuemart with carbonation, and i've placed the allinone mod in the inset position. when i click on one of the tabs, it extends beyond the content in the main body. I don't have anything in users 6 and 7, and i think the background of that is white? so i end up with this transparent background within the module that shows the break between the background of the main body and whatever is below that. there are several work arounds i could use, including not using the silly module in the first place. however i'd like to learn how to
1) setup a module class suffix that would have the same background color as the main body background.
2) limit the height of the inset mod
3) create either drop shadows or rounded corners using css for my images.
tall order?
