as it's just won the August Site of the Month award.
Jason Royle is responsible for the site which was developed after his team get promoted to the first division. The template used is Technozine as it fitted all his requirements and 'was a wonderful design to begin with'.
Jason took Technozine, and transformed it giving it a completely new look. At a glance you would not even recognize the two were related. That's what Andy really loved about the Vikings Hoops site, a very professional conversion of a classic RocketTheme design. A big 'well done' from RocketTheme founder Andy Miller,
Asked about the modifications to the site Jason said "I wanted the reflect the colours of the Vikings kit, so that was my first starting point, taking raw image files for the install directory and shaping the into the look and design I wanted, that was the easy bit, as the templates are so well thought out to begin with its a breeze, just a bit of imagination and you can make them your own, yet still pay homage to the original."
"I really wanted the template central, so a quick look on the forums sorted that quandary out, but what I really wanted was a cool transparent fade on the outer edge. Firefox made this really easy as it supports transparent png files as standard, no so much luck in good old IE as all I got was a huge grey box, but with a bit of digging I found that I could call an AlphaImageLoader that Microsoft hides away in its DirectX code, this gave me a div tag that I could assign to the boarder images. "
We like the site and it will be proudly added to the winners page very soon. Asked about the support you get from the RocketTheme forums Jason spoke of his desire for a flash header on his site "I also added a flash header into the mix as I wanted to add a little motion to the site, and flash makes this happen with ease, again RocketTheme's forums provided the answer with some handy code and useful advice from its members"
Asked about winning the award Jason was in shock, "there are some great sites on the forums, and with new ones popping up all the time from the members, its a real honour to be chosen for August, I cant wait to tell the rest of the team." - www.c3p0.se - sweden

I still cat belive it, im glad i could use the template for a solid base for my design, joomla is all about using your imagination and looking past the tables and database, you can really do anything you want, and Rockettheme just adds to the whole experiance right out of the box with great designs and easy to customise graphics, and not forgeting the awesome support of its members..

Cheers Stewart, the content will be updated very very soon as the the season has just started, its going to be a good year.
Ill be re designing the site again soon ( just for fun ;D ) as there have been so many great releases i really want to start chopping away and see what i can come up with..

Im getting a big head now..i think the reason it came out as well as it did, is that i had fun whilst doing it, and i belive that in any creative process enjoyment is a big part of the process..
