    • From http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_img_alt.asp
      Definition and Usage

The required alt attribute specifies an alternate text for an image, if the image cannot be displayed.

The alt attribute provides alternative information for an image if a user for some reason cannot view it (because of slow connection, an error in the src attribute, or if the user uses a screen reader).

So if your image displays on the clients device they'll never see the alt attribute.

    • Thank you DanG !
Within the showcase module, since I have replaced a single picture (with an alt attribute) by a Roksprocket module in several pages, the SEO of these pages have suffered a slight decrease, for the first time and at same time...
I will try to find another way to recover positions.

      Thank you again !

    • Hello,

What content provider are you using? If you load images via the description / content and hard-code the ALT text it will display just fine. Ensure Strip HTML Tags is set to NO.

Currently it is the only way to do it. You can see it in this url:

      www.rockettheme.com/docs/joomla/template...ron/demo_module_6.md

      Regards

      Don't think so :(

This is the code from the RokSprocket-item:
      <img alt="image" src="images/rocketlauncher/frontpage/maintop/img1.jpg">

This is what's used in my local Hadron with a valid image - as you can see NO alt display:

This image is hidden for guests.
Please log in or register to see it.

However if I rename the image file so the template can't find it then you get an alt display:

This image is hidden for guests.
Please log in or register to see it.

    • I understand what you're saying. But I have to load the entire code of the item via the "Description" tab of the control panel Roksprocket. You can tell me another way to do it easier.
      Thank you.

As I said the ALT attribute only appears when the image is missing or your using a screenreader.

So let me ask you what it is your hoping will happen when you hover your mouse cursor over a RokSprocket item image?

    • My only concern is for the purposes of organic search engine rankings. If I have not the "Atl" attribute in all images, my site loses relevance to the SEO positioning across search engines. Again, that's just my concern.
Thanks again for your quick responses.

    • Okay there is a ticket in to add this option directly into RokSprocket. I'll keep an eye on it's progress and report back here.

    • I hope to hear about it because the configuration would be faster, especially when we have a lot of work.
Thank you very much and you are very kind
