Problems updating RT extensions through Joomla 2.5 ?

- I have tried over and over to update RT extensions through the Joomla update system. But I am only getting errors. Is this supported?

- For some extensions it is but for majority it won't work if you have old versions. Update them manually by uploading installation packages one by one

I just did a fresh install of Joomla using the Rocket Launcher package for Kirigami yesterday. Today, RT came out with updates. I went to the admin area to update through Joomla and got the following error for Mission Control, RokPad and RokSprocket...

Igor said that "it won't work if you have old versions". But apparently it doesn't work with new versions either???
Will I have to manually update all extensions/templates?

- Hi Brady, can you give some details about your setup? Specifically Joomla verson, PHP version etc. Also what file exactly did you download, and how did you do the update process? We do this stuff all the time during testing and development and don't have problems so we just want to try to isolate what is going wrong for you. Perhaps even take a little screencast of the procedure?

- Andy - I created a screencast, but it is larger than the 2MB allowed for attachments here. It's 4.9 MB. I could upload it to my server, but don't want to post the link publicly since I'll be removing it after this issue is resolved.

I assume you meant "use" Jing - not "sue" Jing? :cheesy:
Actually, I did use Jing, but I don't see an option now (I didn't pay attention to the options at the time of recording) to post it to screencast's website.

- I think that the main problem here is described in the first error message that says "Unknown Archive Type ". Can you make sure that your PHP environment has ZIP file support installed?
