Static Items in 'Popup Grid' Gantry Module

Hi!
I'm working on integrating a couple static graphics into the Popup Grid module. I'd like to turn off the overlay "onclick" activation for these and instead have these 2-3 sections function as simple linking fields within an otherwise normal popupgrid field. I'm mostly hoping you can tell me there's a class-linked way to disable the overlay feature, as the associated javascript is a little dense to spend time understanding if this functionality is already present.
