SOLVED Search extension to look into Gantry 5 modules

Posted 8 years 2 months ago
    • Hi there,

Does anybody know a search extension that searches into the Gantry modules ? I tried several search extensions but they only search in articles and categories, they don't search into the (Gantry) modules.

      griffid.ssim.eu

      Thanks!

      Best regards, Chantal.

    • No. I don't think you'll find one. If by gantry modules you mean "Gantry 5 module for particles". Even our own rokajaxsearch search only uses Joomla advanced search - and that can't look at the content of particles either.

      Regards, Mark.

    • it looks like, since none of the content of Particles are part of 'joomla content' (and not in the database), there is no way to use internal search tools.

This should not have any affect on SEO, as Google is looking at viewable content. But, any extensions we use internally on the site will tend to be using the database and not indexing flat-files.

It's just something to keep in mind. Content in Particles is separate from the CMS.
