  • SOLVED Disable Compile Twig, error Cache can only be a string...

    • Hello,

      Joomla 4.2.9
      Gantry 5.5.16
      PHP 8
      ---
      Almalinux 8
      Whm / CPanel

      I setup a test subdomain to work and latter replace main domain content.

      No matter what rt or g5 free theme used, for example: rt-studius, helium, hydrogen.

      If I disable "Compile Twig" an error appear:
      LogicException
Cache can only be a string, false, or a \Twig\Cache\CacheInterface implementation.

Previous exceptions
Cache can only be a string, false, or a \Twig\Cache\CacheInterface implementation. (0)

      Enable "Compile Twig" the error is gone.

      Is that normal? not sure, because in the past i had disable "Compile Twig" without any errors.

    • This is a bug caused in G5.5.16 (which has other issues too which we re investigating). So you can it’s probably best to go back to G5.5.15 (with PHP no higher than PHP 8.0.x) for now.

      Maybe one of the other issues is related to the "install demo" option not available after uploading a template?

    • No, All our demo data is only included in the rocketlauncher package. The template package is the template only.
