SOLVED 1054 error: Unknown column 'u.name' in 'order clause'

In the List Layouts parameters of a menu item, I changed the Article Order to Author Alphabetical.
After saving, links got to an Error page with 1054 error: Unknown column ‘u.name’ in ‘order clause’ in the title.
Is there anything that can be done about it?
I was googling around and noticed this issue has been happening for some years.

Try extensions manager > database > FIX button.

This issue comes up only when I choose either Author options.
I enclosed a printscreen of the page when it's OK and when it's not.
Note that it also loses all its formatting, besides not displaying the content.
