    SOLVED 33 percent, 33 percent, 34 percent?

Posted 6 years 11 months ago
    • I apologize if this is in the wrong forum category but I think this is a Gantry question.

I have 3 basic "block content" particles and I want them to be evenely distributed accross the row. But when I make them all 33%, one of them changes to 34%. The result is (see image) that one of the blocks is larger than the others.

How do I fix this in an "elegant" manner?

      Do I do this:

      33.3%
      33.3%
      33.4%

      or this?

      33.33%
      33.33%
      33.34%

Or this there a setting in gantry that will do this for me?

      Thank you in advance.

    • Hi Damir,

Yes, that's what I did. I created 3 blocks, each at 33% but one of them changes to 34%.

I'm asking how can I set the blocks to be exactly 1/3 of the 100% section.

Is that possible? Or did I need to put in one of the numbers above?

I hope I am explaining myself correctly. I'll attach a picture of my blocks.

    • Damir,

      That doesn't work.

When I enter 33.33, one them ALWAYS changes to 33.4, it does not let me have three 33.33 blocks.

      See attachemnts.

      Is this a bug?

    • I apologize if I'm missing something here... but if you just want them spread equally across a grid you can simply hover over that grid and click the icon that appears on the right side. When you hover over it you should see the tooltip saying "equalize the width of blocks in this grid". Clicking it will give all the blocks equal width (in this case for 3 of them it will assign 33.3% to them all).

Thank you Timothy, that worked perfectly!

I still don't know why typing it in manually doesn't work but I don't care, I'll just use this method in the future ;)
