SOLVED No Way to Delete Layout Sections in Gantry 5?

I want to delete the Fixedside section in Kraken theme but it can't be dragged and there is no where in the settings where the position can be deleted.
Any suggestions?

Yes, it's wordpress.
And yes, I made sure nothing is it. But that leaves a blank white space and makes the other content not full width. E.g. the header is not full width. That's not what I want.
Your answer implies that there is no way to delete a section in Gantry 5 for WordPress. Am I correct?

You can't delete or add Sections via the settings. Sections don't get rendered when they are empty.
The main feature of this template is the fixed sidebar ...
I guess we could add soem custom css to removed some custom css to remove that feature. You can also try to set the width of the fixed-side to 0 in the styles tab. - Last Edit: 8 years 1 month ago by Henning.

Thanks. I will try that and see how it looks. I quite understand the design concept behind the fixedside.
I came up with a nice workaround that looks quite aesthetically pleasing, but only for blog posts and some special pages.
I left the home page as is.
