    SOLVED Multi-language confused

Posted 8 years 5 months ago
    • Dear all,

I am just starting to build a new website using Gantry 5.2.3 and Joomla! 3.4.5 and I have the Salient template.
I have to first say I am a newbie to Gantry 5.

      The is the site;

      griffid.ssim.eu/

For several days I am trying to get the multi-language module active / visible.

      I followed this instruction:
      docs.gantry.org/gantry5/tutorials/multilingual-site

I found out that the multi-language module is showing on the error page (see screenshot), this is in position header 5,
but ofcourse I want it to be located somewhere on top.

Does anybody have a tip what the problem might be here?

      Thanks!
      best regards, Chantal

That looks like a login page to me? I'm not sure what Gantry 5 module position "position header 5" is?

Would you please create a Super Admin login for me and place it in the SECURE part of your Reply

I created a module named Language Switcher and it's position is in header A (not 5 sorry) from Joomla. (see screenshot)

I published it on all menu's (see same screenshot), I tried several positions, but the language switcher doesn't show.
I accidently noticed on the error page that it did show over there (?)

I got it working for the English. You didn't have an open position for the Language Switcher module in your layouts so I added it in. Haven't figured out why it doesn't show for the Dutch language.

    • Dear Dan,

Thank you so much for your effort!

Btw: I set the module to all languages instead of English and now it's also available in Dutch!

      Best regards, Chantal.
