SOLVED COM_GANTRY5_PARTICLE_NOT_INITIALIZED - just can't fix it

I've been experiencing major downtime and decreased traffic due to an annoying error I can not fix.
root site at: mystic-image.com shows
COM_GANTRY5_PARTICLE_NOT_INITIALIZED
and no content in mainbody.
However, when one clicks on any of the main menu links, including "home" which directs to to: www.mystic-image.com/index.php/home-1.html all is well.
I've tried changing the default template assignments, installing and uninstalling gantry modules, disabling, and clearing cache for a day now.
Any help appreciated.

Try this, make your the Home page item of the MAIN MENU as your Default. If that doesn't work then would you please create a Super Admin login for me and place it in the SECURE part of your Reply

Somehow, the installation of Gantry5 templates and Gantry5 itself changed the default target for the homepage within the settings on the main menu. I reassigned it and all works now.
NOTE: I am back to running Myriad, a Gantry4 template but left G5 and the G5 templates installed but not activated.
