Ok thanks. For those that need an immediate temp solution I just copied the theme (not a child theme) but full theme.(Also renamed the folder) So that works for now so I can make specific changes for each site.
Yes i did... bbut i loaded a new version of the theme and that's the one the worked. I loaded that same new version yesterday for the one that has the issue now. So bascially they are both the same.
Let me repharse I have two sites
thebrandeis.com
thebrandeis.com/tabproperties (this one wil point to a new domain name when I'm done)
1. thebrandeis.com was the one I'm referencing in the other post. with the server error. I fixed it for a day by upgrading the lastest theme 5.2.4 but now having the same issue. The only thing that could be different is that I copied the custom folder from 5.2.3 to 5.2.4 so I didn't have to rebuild my work.
2. thebrandeis.com/tabproperties i loaded the same latest 5.2.4 theme but it works fine.
Very close as I was able to create a child theme and adjust the settings and it' didn't affect the other site. So thats good.
however I'm seeing this message: (if you happen to look its called under Editor in edit themes....TAB Properties (Child) is the child theme I created that causes this message.
@DuaneMitchell To answer your question about whether Gantry would work in a WordPress multi-site environment ... I currently run a WordPress multi-site environment for a non-profit organization that has several local chapters across the United States. Most of these local chapters use Gantry combined with the "Voxel" theme. We have been running this setup for nearly 2 years now, and it has proven to be exceptionally stable.
