SOLVED Module position && Particle's "Mod pos / Key"

Posted 8 years 9 months ago
    • Hello!

How "Module position" in Joomla "Modules" corellate with "Module position" Particle with "Key" parameter?
Should I create some module with custom "mypos" position and then create Particle from "Module Position" standart particle type, and then set "Key" = "mypos" there?

      Thanks!

Yes Key is the new way of saying module position. Your scenario is a little off maybe because of our funny English language ;)

What you said would more accurate like this:

"create some module with custom "mypos" position and then Drag & Drop the standard Particle type labelled "Module Position" into my Layout, and then set "Key" = "mypos" there?"

Actually if you use the Module Instance particle and place it in your Layout, you don't even need a module position since it keys off the ID number of the module.

I feel very ashamed. Especially because I am a professional negotiator and possess written literary Russian language quite perfectly. I need Perestroyka in my brain. It should fall to enroll in English language class or in a language club this autumn. And Yes, your English is very funny. Laughing all day. ;)

...But when the Chinese write in European languages, this is a nuclear explosion. And it calms me a bit. :)

Now the main task is to understand the paradigm of the Gantry 5. Probably it's easier to study and understand the Gantry 5 as a beginner, from scratch. Because a past experience pressure inside the skull and interferes. :)

      Thank you!

No need to apologize as we Mods don't rate the quality of the question ;) Give us a good description of the issue and you will get an answer.
