    SOLVED Gantry 5 Menu

    • Hello

      I use hydrogen theme with gantry 5.0.

      1. Once a menu is modified in the theme any changes made to the actual menu(menu manager) is not fetched. How to reset the changes at template and fetch new changes from menu manager.

      2. Yesterdays update does now allow menu without title in the template. How I can show fa-home without any text?

      Using the Main Menu as the Default menu if I rename an item then I can see that change in the Home Outline -> Menu.
      If I rename the item in the Home Outline -> Menu editor and SAVE then when I go to Joomla's Menu page display I can see that item name has changed there. This is with the most recent joomla-pkg_gantry5_v5.0.0

      As for no title for a menu item it has NOTHING to do with the update. Joomla will NOT allow you to save a menu item without a title.
      You would give the Home item a title and then use CSS to disable display of the Title and replace that with your fa-home.

      I will test for the menu changes.

      Btw for the fa-home, I mean at the template menu editor. Not Joomla. Anyway, I will use css to hide the text.

    • Hi Sam.S... Having a menu item with just an icon was ok in RC3 but not in v5.0 just released... I've raised it and it's been accepted as issue number 574 on Gantry5 gitter chat.
