Fixing Width of Content Top/Bottom Modules

Posted 13 years 11 months ago
    • I am wanting to be able to fix the size of the Content Top/Bottom module locations.

In the administration panel you can only determine the size of the whole main body location in relation to the sidebars. There does not appear to be a way to fix the size of the content top/bottom locations.

I want a sidebar of 3, and then two content top modules of 3 and 6.

I am currently working on a local site so don't have a url for you.

    • Hi, by default you're not able to do this. The content top and bottom widths are calculated based on the sidebar width and the number of modules you have in those positions. There are no backend controls, as you may have noticed.

I'm sure it's possible, you would have to add those 2 positions into the template details, and possibly make some changes to the index.php. Take a look at the Adding Modules in Gantry article to see what would be involved.
    • The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
