SOLVED Questions about Rotator Feature (Gantry + Panacea)

Hi,
I'm building my first Joomla site using the Panacea template and had a couple of questions about the Rotator feature.
Is it possible hide the contents of articles (the ones that are displayed over the rotator) from the search results? I tried creating a category to store these articles (called 'Site Specific') and setting the Metadata > Robots option on the category to 'No Index, No Follow' - however now instead of showing the category & articles if they are searched for it is throwing up the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function setState() on a non-object in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/joomla/templates/rt_panacea_j16/features/rotator.php on line 127
What is the easiest way to hide these articles in search results etc. while still having them visible in the Rotator?
My second question ... is it possible to disable the rotator for the 'Public' while showing it to only logged in users? Can different articles be displayed to different viewing access levels?

Hi Kat,
I'm currently building this site locally while I wait for the PHP on my server to be upgraded.

Had the same problem, I upgraded to the new version of Panacea and now I get this:
Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/content/96/8001296/html/templates/beez_20/index.php on line 122
Note: I also lost my panacea duplicate that I used for the custom rotator (as per directions posted here)
Please help!

how did you update? very likely that you will lose your duplicate when uninstalling and installing a template. also, because you had the template assigned to certain pages before, you are now having the above error.
