  • Gantry System Plugin vs Gantry Cache System Plugin

    • Joomla 1.5.23
      Template Omnicron 1.5.3
      Gantry framework 3.1.12

      I noticed that Gantry framework is 3.1.12. But i see that the "System Gantry" is 3.1.11. Was not upgraded by the Gantry framework updater. How could I update this plugin (and should I)? Can't find any package for it.

      Second question: in the extensions package of the template (rt_omnicron_j15-extensions.zip), I found plg_system_rokgantrycache-1.0.zip. Should I use it? What is the difference with "System Gantry"?

      The Gantry System Plugin is never updated by the Gantry framework updater. Should I care?

    • Ok, I just found gantry_joomla_system_plugin-3.1.12.zip in the gantry download section. I will update all my sites.

      But still don't understand the difference beetween Gantry System Plugin and Sytem RokGantry Cache Plugin :oops:

    • It seems that "Gantry System Plugin" and "Sytem RokGantry Cache Plugin" are the same thing, old version and new version.

      I only use now the "gantry joomla system plugin" find in the donwload section of www.gantry-framework.org/ . I update it when I update Gantry.

      Its purpose is to clean the gantry cache after having some changes made in the gantry template backend.

    • The name is now: "Sytem - Gantry"
      The description is now: "Gantry System Plugin for Joomla"

      Files are: "gantry.php" + "gantry.xml".

      The plugin cleans cache after some tasks have been done.

    • Perhaps the plugin is not working with "old" templates and that we have to use the plugin found in the tempate package?
