RokCandy macro does not allow html in menu title

Posted 9 years 3 months ago
    • Hi guys,
using Stratos theme and trying to apply html to menu title. I have text menu titles that want to only show on desktop, but hide on tablet where I'd only show an icon so it look like the demo and fit the smaller tablet screen.

The problem is that the [span class="{class}"]{text}[/span] macro that RokCandy comes with does not work.
Adding, for example, [span class="hidden-tablet"]Text[/span] in the menu title field displays it with the code the same (not just "Text") in frontend.

Played with RokCandy settings but that didn't help.

Is there a way to apply this macro for menu item titles? Browsed the forum and found some topics but could not find an answer. Thanks.

    • this is done using a font awesome icon class in the "Dropdown Menu Options" tab of the menu item's paramters. In the "Menu Icon" input box

    • also as far as using a class like the hidden-tablet or any class for that matter you can just add it to the "Dropdown Menu Options" tab in the "Custom Class" input box as I have now done for the example on your site's menu.

I've just discovered a few of our templates are having this issue. I've added Stratos to the list.
Reply with the menu title you want and I'll show you how to use hardcoding as a workaround.
