Small issue after upgrading to Joomla 5.1 and PHP 8.3

Posted 1 week 6 days ago
    • Hi, i have several sites that uses Gantry and RT templates, today i have updated all of them to joomla 5.1 and php 8.3. They are working fine (and fast), but on their menu the dropdown arrow was replaced by question marks, any idea what this could be?

      Thank you!

    • Flush all caches? Recompile the CSS from the Base Outline > Styles tab? If that doesn't work please turn off your caching plugin and all Joomla caching so we can inspect the code

    • Please leave JCH Optimize disabled and disable all Joomla caching (I'm showing them still enabled) so I can inspect the code in an uncompressed/readable manner

    • Seems to be JCH the problem

    • Aye, previously it was rendering the Font Awesome character code as "???" but now the correct unicode character for the FontAwesome Font is loading... it's a very popular library so I wonder if JCH has any workaround perhaps...

      This is the selector:
      .g-main-nav .g-toplevel>li>.g-menu-item-container .g-menu-parent-indicator:after

The theme CSS all loads in: /templates/rt_reiko/custom/css-compiled/

... if you want to have JCH ignore that.
