Go into any Outline and scroll to the BOTTOM and you should see version 5.2.13 there. There is an issue with the message reappearing after you've updated so try this:
- after you've updated to 5.2.13 in your Extension Manager you should see a Success message
- go to any Outline and click the "X" on the purplish Update message
- move your mouse up to "EXTRAS" and in the dropdown click "Clear Cache"
- Logout and then Login again and now the message should be gone.

Just to comment on this, I have a site using Kraken and no way no how can I get rid of this alert. Gantry is up to date, Joomla does not find an update, when I click the link to follow it to the Joomla updater Gantry never shows. How on earth do we get rid of this alert when it is already at 5.2.13?
HINT: I have cleared all my caches, website and browser and it persists.

This is a known issue -> github.com/gantry/gantry5/issues/1241 .
Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
