    SOLVED Particle Edit 404 Error

Posted 8 years 4 months ago
    • I'm trying to edit an already existing particle through the module editor and getting a 404 error. I also just tried to create a new particle of the same type and the particle is missing from the options. This is a requium theme, animated block particle.

The site has recently changed it's path and now has a subdomain. Could the old path be hard coded somewhere? I haven't been deleting any files. Were should the files be?

    • I have the the same error: 404 Not Found - Oops, Settings for 'animatedblock' not found..

I installed the latest CI Build because i had another error described here: www.rockettheme.com/forum/joomla-templat...rver?start=0#1262060 The CI build fixed this error but my Particle Edit 404 Error is still be there.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

    • Hi there,

I have also sometimes get the 404 problem when clicking the cog wheel on particles in Gantry´s layout window in 5.2.6. When it happens I clear the client and server cache's but it doesnt always solve it right away. Seems to be a time factor involved?

    • Hi Dan,
I installed joomla-pkg_gantry5_develop.zip, cleared the cache but it doesn't fix the problem, I still get the same error:

      "404 Not Found

Oops, Settings for 'animatedblock' not found.."

      "Warnung
      Löschen fehlgeschlagen: Module.php"

that means "deleting of Module.php was unsuccessful"

    • Hej Dan

Made the backup and installed the package OK. Editing particles seem to work OK now, I will continue test and report back.
