    SOLVED Gantry Only 4 Positions Available - Osmosis

    Posted 9 years 7 months ago
    • I am trying to add 6 pictures, each in their own module using the MainBottom gantry layout positions. The Osmosis template says their should be 6 available module positions but I am only getting 4.

      I have 6 published modules, one each in mainbottom-a, mainbottom-b, etc. In the 5th and 6th modules I wasn't able to select mainbottom-e and mainbottom-f so I manually typed them in. Didn't work. I can still only see 4 available positions in the template manager layout area.

      I have a bunch of override templates assigned to different menu items and am using sidebar-a. Is this what is making the trouble? I do see 6 available positions in the top positions but none below the mainbody area. Very frustrating.

    • Check your Template Manager and see if the template itself isn't using mainbottom-e and mainbottom-f. That's the only reason the layout slider -> module position selector would have positions grayed out.

    • Hey Dan, hope all is well.

      Actually I think I figured it out. Osmosis has the left sidepanel which eats up two module positions.

      Thank you.

      Here's a little reference for you -> http://www.rockettheme.com/docs/joomla/templates/osmosis/positions.md#module-positions

      Although it has to be corrected as it also excluded the SidePanel :(

      No prob... ;)
