Gantry Install Fail

Hi, I have been trying install RT Themes into a new 1.6.1 and can install Components, Mods, and Plg's without any problems but cant do anything with it because Gantry won't install.
it's doing my head in. Have searched all forums but can't find an answer.
Help please.
Have attached screen shot of the error message.

- Could be a premissions issue or maybe something with upload_max_filesize or post_max_size in php.ini.
- Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.

Hi Prim, thanks for the reply. This is my first entry into 1.6 and the way things are going may be my last. I am pretty sure that all the permissions are fine, it's the first thing I checked. And the fact that everything else that I tried to install worked, other than Gantry, have installed ok. Oh the rt bundle didn't install either.
Have just tried again after changing perms once again with no result.
php.ini is 5mb upoad, standard for all the 50 sites I maintain, never had a problem.
looks like i'm not destined to be using 1.6
