    how to upgrade

    • hi, i'm a new gantry-user, so don't blame me for silly questions :cheesy:

      i have created a site (locally) with gantry framework 3.0.6
      then i want to upgrade to 3.0.12
      so, as i read on the help files, i have to uninstall my template (that i nedd to upgrade, too), upgrade gantry & template.
      i did everything, but i lost all my previous settings.

      did i missed anything or this is the way things should go?

    • To upgrade Gantry, it's very easy task. You don't need to uninstall anything, just install the file via the Joomla installer. Just in case, please take a full backup of your site first before doing any upgrading.

    • On this line of questioning . . . I need help. I upgraded to 3.1.6. It went well except I have a popup player javascript that doesn't work anymore. What did I do wrong?

    • I got openpopup is not defined error in firebug. Could you please explain what script is it and where did you find that?

    • The menu item links to a URL: javascript:openpopup
      it's an audio pop-up player.

    • I think I'm going to step back. The menu is picking up content from who knows where, I have two sections setup exactly the same and they look completely different. I'm a little frustrated.

    • Yes, but your openpopup() function is not defined anywhere due to the error. So, definitely it will not work. Did you forget to re-insert the custom script you put before if any?
