Incorrect RokSprocket Image URLs in MultiSite

Hello,
RokSprocket has started prepending a url to my image urls in RokSprocket. This only happens to urls I update, and in the database and the back end the URLs appear correctly.
You can see an example here:
cuartetotanguero.moretango.org
As you can see the RokSprocket widget is blank because the urls are invalid. Ine url listed in the backend is: cuartetotanguero.moretango.org/wp-conten...Playing-500x7501.png
but the output prepends moretango.org to that url:
background-image: url( moretango.org/http://cuartetotanguero.mo...Playing-500x7501.png );

Here is some more information.
This only happens with the images located on a subdomain of the primary site.
The problem seems to only effect the following scenario:
When the image is located at cuartetotanguero.moretango.org/somefile roksprocket outputs http://moretango/http://cuartetotanguero.moretango.org/somefile.
However the following all work fine:
urls beginning with external links:
www.cuartetotanguero.com/somefile
urls beginning with a subdomain of an external site:
dev.cuartetotanguero.com/somefile
urls on a local subdomain beginning with www work fine:
www.cuartetotanguero.moretango.org/somefile
Any idea what could be causing this?

One more detail.
Images on subdomains that do not match the site url work fine. For example I can include images on test.moretango.org with no problem. The only time roksprocket prepends moretango.org/ is when the domain name matches the domain name of the site.
It would help to just know why roksprocket might prepend the domain name to the url. It shouldn't ever be necessary. - Last Edit: 8 years 10 months ago by Ben Bogart.
