I have a blog with the afterburner theme
Problem is that there is NO "comment" option for the posts, which is really awkward. A blog with no commenting?
I cannot find a way to activate commemts.

You can comment on your blog, just not on the font page. Which is standard. If you add a read more where it opens to it's own post page then you can comment on it.
For example, by clicking on your Recents Posts widget, it brings me to this page:
www.creationray.com/2010/12/14/thinking-4-dummies/
And the comment form is there. - My Sites:

OK...this is a basic wordpress question.
Did you read the WP docs on wp .org?
If not, there are two ways to add a read more.
In the visual Editor there's a place to click to add "more"
In the code editor that I'm used to all you need to do is add:<!--more-->
You really should learn some Wordpress basics. Good Luck!
