    module positions?

Posted 14 years 11 months ago
    • Hello

i just joined and last night downloaded Perihelion, however the tutorial states

      Adding new positions
You will find that you may need to add extra module positions. These positions are:-

      1. user10
      2. user11
      3. user12
      4. right2
      5. right3
      6. left2
      7. left3
      8. header2

These are not available by default in Joomla so you will need to create these yourself. To do this, follow the instructions below:-

      1. Login into the Joomla administrator
      2. Navigate to Site > Template Manager > Module Positions
      3. In the column called Positions, find a blank field
      4. Once found, enter the position name
      5. Find another field and insert the other positions
      6. Select Save

Yet in my administrator page there is no Site > Template Manager > Module Positions option? The Template Manager simply lists the various available templates but no 'Module Positions' link is there?

      Yes I am a newbie..;o))

      regards
