Flash file caching... :( And I dont want it too

  • Flash file caching... :( And I dont want it too

    • Basically I have a client who has a flash based map menu on their homepage which they regularly update with new locations and the like. However, when these updates are made and uploaded and viewed on the site you simply see the old school cached version which of course is out of date. Is there anyway of telling the browser to re-download the map every time it is accessed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have found a bit of info on Google using Meta tags but am unable to find a working solution as of yet.

      Thanks. :)

    • I have the same problem, and have had it for as long as i can remember. I'm really not sure how to fix this myself.

    • Okay, I might be talking out my a**, but if he is doing it manually - couldn't he just save it to a different file name? Then change the front page file name that it loads with - directing it to the new Flash? Just a thought... ;)

By the way nice site. ;D
