  • SOLVED Help, I'm locked out of the backend.

    • The frontend of my site is working fine but all of a sudden (after weeks of not even logging in the backend) I'm getting an error message.

      Internal Server Error
      The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

      Please contact the server administrator, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

      More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

      Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
      Apache/1.3.41 Server at www.compasspropertyinvestments.co.uk Port 80

      Anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how to correct it?

    • have you got any htaccess files in the root of administrator?

    • I have one in the root directory for that site but not in the administrator folder?

      I also tried renaming the .htaccess file to htaccess.bak to see if that was the problem but still no luck.
