    • Syndicate, the October 2010 Template Club release, is perfect for any news, media or business type site that requires a clean, conservative but advanced design. The theme is the first to use the 16 Grid Gantry Layout for more control over grid widths and dimensions, for that more compact news structure.

      Utilizing the Color Chooser, the template style can be easily adjusted to any color scheme, in conjunction with 8 presets styles, 6 logo options, and 49 module variation combinations; the design is truly stylistically versatile. As a Gantry template, typical features such as the 960 Grid and iPhone Support are also present.

      Summary Features List:

      * Gantry Framework
      * Color Chooser
      * 8 Preset Styles with 6 Logo Options
      * Triple Level Splitmenu
      * Fusion with MegaMenu
      * 76 Module Positions
      * 20 Module Variations - 49 Combo Possibilities
      * RocketTheme Extensions Styling
      * 3rd Party Extensions Compatibility Styling
      * FF 3.6, Safari 4, Opera 10.x, IE7-IE8 Compatible
      * Limited IE6 Browser Compatibility
      * Template RTL Support
      * W3C XHTML 1.0 / CSS 3 Valid

      As you can see there are many people that like the new template and others that do not like it, it is really hard to keep everyone happy, everyone has different tastes and expectations on each month release, i`m the new web designer who joined RT lately and the latest two designs were mine, i see that many people like those and that gives me motivation to continue working hard on the next designs, i totally accept your comment because it is just your opinion and taste, but i would like to get more feedback on that, what you do like and you do not? that would help me a lot to understand the weak points on the design so i can keep in mind for the future designs!

      Cheers!

    • Vasjen - I think the template is great! I like the overall design and layout however if I were to have one thing change it would be the overall flat appearance of the site. For me, I like a little bit of depth with some gradients, overlays, etc. It doesn't necessarily have to be a lot but just enough to give it a polished look. Again, that would be the only thing I would change....the rest is outstanding. Nice job.

    • Agree with gsuez. Very basic design...

      No offense Vasjen -- Omnicron was pure genius, sexy, original...
      Syndicate is like the early days of Joomla.. Ugly font's, boring grays and pastels.. nothing original and ground-breaking.. bland
      If it was a www.bbc.co.uk/ type news site then I would yelp... (fully user customizable, drag and drop modules, show-hide slide modules / clean fonts / editable content, gradients )

      P.S. RT also needs to get some cufon action going...

      Looking forward to next month :arrow:

      Soz I'm a Scorpio, we are brutally honest... :mrgreen:

      Sorry, but I have to agree 100%. I was enthusiast of Zephyr and Omnicron, but I'm disappointed this time. It looks just 3-4 years old. Maybe next month.

    • Not all templates should look like World of Warcraft clan sites. There are a variety of purposes for these templates and Syndicate definitely fits some of those purposes. There was a dire need for an updated news site template and it has now been met.

      Good work, folks. I haven't found any major issues yet. I'll be banging away at this for the near future.
