I've always liked to challenge myself on how quickly I can assemble a new site, or restore a site from backups. It has been handy when site problems occur. Many of the tasks can be scripted, for extra speed. It occurred to me that those people who are constantly refreshing their browsers on the first day of each month, might like a real challenge. How quickly can you assemble a basic web site with the new template and have it available to be viewed? There need to be be some requirements, such as a minimal set of modifications to the rocketlauncher defaults, in order to qualify as an "assembled site". How about these? 1. Install the rocketlauncher version of the new template. 2. Customize the site name. 3. Add 4 new images to the main showcase. 4. Add one article to the front page. 5. Add a custom logo. 6. Customize the copyright notice. 7. Customize the browser page title. 8. Set a different template style from the default one. 9. Make it all look nice, and not sloppy. 10.Post the URL in the user submissions forum. Such a challenge might motivate some clever folks to write some clever scripts and develop new techniques, some of which they might even share. What do you folks think? Greg

Just ran across a curiosity as I am setting up the site: Untitled.jpg You'll notice that the times are 4 hours off. I logged off / on, cleared cache... still being misreported. All other times on the site are right, but it looks like this one particular parameter (the session expiry one for the user in the upper right) is getting date data based on GMT rather than settings. Servertime is set to EST, PHP is set to EST, Joomla is set to EST. No idea where this one random time difference is coming from. Not that big of a deal, but now that I've noticed it I can't help but keep noticing it...

My website seems to take unusually lond to open up. (20+ seconds over DSL). But other sites (competitors kind of), take about 5 seconds. Could this be a problem with my script on the page? ??? The index.html currently redirects to .net to send people there while I work on the newer version with a default of index.php. Or is it something else? ??? Is there anything I can do to make it faster? Maybe getting a unique ip? Honestly, I want my site to be as fast as possible. OR, at least as fast as my competitors. My site: http://www.enchufate.com/index.php If you go to http://www.enchufate.com it will default to the index.html file and redirect to my present site at http://www.enchufate.net. What I want is http://www.enchufate.com/index.php to load fast because that is the one I will end up using. Thanks!!! JM

It all depends on your time zone... the template is released on the first of each month at 24:00 GMT give or take a few hours depending on where you are on earth... In any case, it won't be long.... This is always a good post to follow: http://www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=15&t=4417&rb_v=viewtopic&p=533178#p533178

Currency Time zone Language Not really sure I would like to pay someone in pounds right now seeing as its 2 dollars to each. Also, wouldn't want to get up at 3am to talk with my web designer should it require extensive conversation. Last, but not least it would be helpful to speak the same language. These are just guesses.
