Drupal dRokStories Module Configuration

Install the dRokStories Module as defined in the MODULE INSTALLATION TUTORIAL and make sure it is enabled.

Once you have the module installed follow the steps below to setup and configure.

Step 1

The first step is to setup your Taxonomy so that dRokStories knows where to pull the articles from.

• Go to ADMIN > TAXONOMY
• Create a new Vocabulary. This can be whatever you like or however you want to organize your articles. Make sure you enable the appropriate Content Types that you will be using.
• Once you have a Vocabulary created, click on ADD TERMS to the right of your Vocabulary.
• Add a new TERM to this Vocabulary. This will be the key to pulling articles into dRokStories.
• Once you have a term added, take note of its ID (hover over the term and view the number at the end of the URL - term/#). You will use this ID later when you configure the module.

Step 2

Now that you have the Taxonomy setup, it is time to configure the module

• Go to ADMIN > ROCKETTHEME > dROKSTORIES to view the configuration options for dRokStories
• Set the options as needed for your setup, taking note of the following settings.
• CATEGORY ID - This is where you will enter the term ID you created in Step 1.
• PATH TO IMAGES - This is the path (relative to your theme installation directory) that dRokStories will look for images to use when displaying the module.
• Click Save Configuration.

Step 3

Now the module is configured, its time to add some articles that will display in the module.

• Go to ADMIN > CREATE CONTENT and select a content type. (Page, story, etc)
• Create the article as you would normally, but make sure you select the appropriate Vocabulary Term that you created in Step 1 and identified in Step 2.
• Once the article is created, note its NODE ID (node/#).
• Create an image for this article, name it the same as the node ID # (12.jpg) and upload it to the directory you specified in Step 2 - PATH TO IMAGES

Step 4

All that is left is to place the module block in the desired BLOCK REGION.

• Go to ADMIN > BLOCKS
• Find the dRokStories block and select the desired BLOCK REGION for it to display in.
• Click SAVE BLOCKS

Optionally, you can CONFIGURE the dRokStories block to only appear on certain pages (like only the homepage). To do this, click on CONFIGURE next to the block and in the PAGE SPECIFIC VISIBILITY SETTINS, select "Show on only the listed pages" and enter the desired pages.

Once setup, dRokStories will pull the latest articles from the selected Vocabulary.
