I have a little over a dozen. Most are friends domains I pay for and a few are for the future. It seems I am much like Dave in that I really don't have enough time to develop the sites.

I think www.joomlaclubs.com is one of the better ones and would make a great site for a listing of all the different template clubs. If I only had time

I also collected just for the fun of it and because I got great ideas everytime I bought a domain...
But of course time was not available so the ideas were skipped, so right now I just have 10 or so a few not really used yet...

I didn't realize people just randomly bought domains just for the heck of it.  What do you do with them before you start developing them?  Should I be buying more?  Am I one of the minority with only 3 domains, all being worked? hehe

I just bought the .com, .net & .org version of one that I'll probably not develop for a while. It's dependent on me getting to know the Washington DC area. (for those of you new, I just moved here from San Diego)

It's not like it's RocketScience <pun intended>. Just hunt around for little scripts or automated stuff that are easy to edit, slap em up, put some money making links, let em rip. You won't get rich but it will pay for itself.

I use hosting that has unlimited domains, unlimited mysql, 2tb bandwidth per month, and paid $25 for the entire year. I build 1 site, use a script and make 20 copies, do some edits, mass upload them. I buy domains in bulk, use coupons, use my own affiliate link and make a commission, end up paying less than $5 per domain. The sites pay for themselves in 1 month, the other 11 months are gravy.

I have a couple hundred parked with different scripts. Some work well, some suck. When I find stuff that works, I replace the ones that suck. The one I showed was a new one so I don't know if it works or not.

I have one method that works well. If they come out of the sandbox with pagerank 3-4, that makes the domains worth $$$. That's where the real money is.

It's not like the domains are no longer available. They are all for sale, just not for $5.    there are a lot of professional domaineers out there making real money. Mine is just a  hobby.
