Unable to Install Components, Plugins, or Modules

I've been struggling for the past few days on an issue I'm having regarding the installation of any and all extensions (plugins, ,modules, components).
I'll try to install yvComment (just an example, it happens to everything) and the screen will go blank with no installation. I turned on my error reporting and I get the following message:
Fatal error: Class 'DOMIT_Lite_Document' not found in /chroot/home/xxxx/xxxx.net/html/Joomla_RT_MediaMogul_J15/libraries/joomla/factory.php on line 355
I've switched
$xmlDoc = new DOMIT_Lite_Document();
to
$xmlDoc =& new DOMIT_Lite_Document();
but nothing has changed.
I've also increased my php memory and time out time.
I'm running on the following:
PHP Built on: Linux pnkcady.nexcess.net 2.6.9-78.0.1.ELsmp #1 SMP Tue Aug 5 11:02:47 EDT 2008 i686
Database Version: 5.0.67-standard
Database Collation: utf8_general_ci
PHP Version: 5.2.6
Web Server: Apache/2.0.63 (Unix)
Web Server to PHP interface: apache2handler
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.5.7 Production/Stable [ Wovusani ] 9-September-2008 23:00 GMT
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3
Any help you can provide would be great. It's becoming a pain manually installing everything.
Thanks

I've always had it enabled.

Bump.
Does anybody have any other ideas I can try? I've asked the same question on the Joomla boards and I haven't heard anything yet. I'd rather not have to pay a developer to install tricky components for me.
Thanks in advance.
