Question about manual template installation
« on: September 25, 2006, 11:17:16 AM »

I have no problem with using the upload and install feature however the process does not give me write access to the files. Even if I upload the index.php within the template folder from Admin directory, the same thing occurs. This leaves me with uploading the directories one by one. It seems there is at least one file that gets installed outside the template directory. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Yes, this is not unusual. Look at this post, and one solution, JoomlaExplorer.
