Index.html issue

I am fairly sure that this has nothing to do with my RocketTheme template, however I am wondering if any person might have the same issue with their Joomla installation..

Periodically I wind up with having a blank index.html placed in my root directory (/public_html/), which of course overrides Joomla's index.php and leaves me with a blank site. So I login, delete index.html, and away I go again.

The components I have running are:

Acajoom newsletters
SMF 1.1 rc3 w/JSMF Bridge 2.0b3
JCE editor mambot

all on Joomla 1.0.11.

Any suggestions would be great, thanks.
