Beater Magazine J1.5 Conversion using Tribune

Once I saw this template I knew I had to use it. I kept it pretty simple, and didn't use a lot of the features or add-ons, but I still think it looks pretty clean. All feedback is appreciated, and I welcome it with open arms. Seriously, have at it.

http://beatermag.com/beta

I marked it as beta for right now, because a bunch of the members didn't want me to change anything, so I am slowly adapting them into the new site, and I'll make the switch permanent when they least expect it. By the way, 1.5 rocks, and the upgrade was soooooo easy. If you haven't done it yet, you should check out this site http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/joomla15/joomla_upgrade.htm. They made the process so easy, it's great.

Components: Community Builder, IdoBlog, Seyret Video Component, IJoomla Comment, SMO Shoutbox, and a few plugins (joomSEO, Socialbookmarker, etc...)

Let me know whatcha think!

You changed templates again?  I thought I checked this one out before, though the name scared me while at work (beater videos would surely trigger the alarms on a government computer Smiley).

I am about to start using the same template, so will really go through your site tomorrow...first look was very nice and much improved over the first cut. Clean, professional, uncluttered looks...great logo font, etc, etc.  I'll do some digging in the am. Smiley

thanks Terp, I appreciate the feedback. The other site is still up, and I wanted to convert the site to 1.5 without destroying everything. I'm in the process of making it the new overall site of Beater, but some of the components won't upgrade to 1.5.

HAHA! I get that reaction from everyone. I try to make it clear that it is not a porn site, but you know how that goes.

I can't wait to get more feedback from you. Thanks again.
