Template on a NON-Joomla Site
« on: July 15, 2008, 11:02:22 AM »

I was curious how feasible it was to take a Rocket Theme Template and use it on a non-Joomla site.

I was contacted by a friend who is working on a site for a non-profit.  However, he is not using Joomla and he is too far along to turn back.

Has anyone ever done something like this?

Depends what the NON-joomla site is, i.e. a HTML site would be quite easy but another platform would be quite difficult.

It is actually an HTML site.  Any suggestions on how to procede?  Just copy it all over out of Joomla?

That's probably easier as the templates only make a small user of the J! coding. You want to replace all the J! code with your own or strip it out altogether.

For example, remove the <?php mosLoadModules('', -2); ?> type module code etc...
