I am new to the whole iPod *thang*, having just recently climbed out of the cave (had objections to the whole iTunes/internet police policing policies of the past), and just got an email about the games available in the iTunes store.  Are these new?  I never seen them before when poking around the store.

Are there free ones out there, of do people just pay the $5 clams for these games? I think it's quite reasonable, but wasn't sure if there are freebies out there that rival the iTunes store versions.
