Using one of my favourite themes for this one I have created the site

It uses EasyGallery component for the gallery (which is looking pretty empty at the moment and Xe-media's video component.  I still have to fill them up with images and videos.

I use the modules below the tabs for my adverts and they seemed to blend in quite nicely with the current colour scheme.

My plan is to add over 100 articles for amazing places around the world, ive still got a lot of content to add 

All the images so far, except for the map, come from istockphoto.com and the text logo was created by using a cool font and basically adding a drop shadow and outglow in photoshop.

There is still a huge amount of work to be done, but Im happy with the look so far.

The news thing is an idea, maybe even an environmental slant to it as that seems a popular topic these days.

Good choice. I will also recommend to use "free articles". You can find some websites that free articles. Just remember to give credit to the author and he/her website.
