PHP content in Joomla articles?
« on: May 16, 2008, 11:08:46 AM »

There's a lot of content in my organization that uses PHP in existing web pages and I was wondering if there is a way to use these pages, or rather their PHP code, in Joomla content items.

I know that I could throw them in a wrapper if I was directly linking to them from a menu item, but with many of the pages I'm looking to make them part of an article within a Joomla category so that they will show up when I display all the articles in the category, such as in the Articles » Category / Blog format.

Any ideas on how this might be accomplished?  Huh

After posting this question I continued to search for a way to use PHP in my articles, and I have found an extension which might work:

Jumi
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,1023/Itemid,35/

I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like it might be useful. I'll post again with my experiences after playing around, but if anyone else has used it and would like to comment on it -- as well as offer different solutions for the problem stated in my first post -- please feel free to chime in.
