Oh, I think this is because I'm blocking User Agent via .htaccess. Try to view it using Mozilla Firefox.

Try to view it using Mozilla Firefox.

Nope, you lost me. lol Smiley

...just kidding, it's a nice implementation of Populus, but I don't understand a total block of IE, given that IE commands more than 50% of the share of Internet browsers in action.  You already cut your viewership in half. Wink

I think you are going to turn away a lot of good traffic. I know that IE is horrible and all, but to completely block it is a little overboard.

The reasons you brought up in your forum post are all decent reasons, but to say that a potentially bad experience on your site using ie means that you would just rather not have people on the site it kind of lame. When I look at the websites that people post on RT, I view them using all of the browsers on my PC (Safari, IE7, IE6 'on my laptop', and Mozilla). Every once in a while, there is a java error in IE6, but it doesn't affect the browsing of the site, it is usually something very basic that can be fixed with a little TLC, or you can figure that most web surfers don't even pay attention to their IE errors, because they wouldn't even know what it meant in the first place. I would take that code out of your .htaccess file, and let everyone into your site.

Yes i would like to have a look at your website and make some feedback, but i get the same message:

Please USE Mozilla Firefox Web Browser!

75% of people use IE to surf the web and only 17% use Mozilla Firefox so blocking IE users isnt a good idea as nick says its driving away so much traffic!!

...would at least throw a Google FF affilate button up if you are going to do that. Smiley  Might as well earn a few shines from those you turn away. Wink
